Do you truly care?

I believe honour is a key ingredient in manifesting the glory of the Lord on this earth. Where people honour others I believe the presence of the Lord comes with the presence of the Holy Spirit. The more honour, the more presence of God. We have such great hope in us, and it's not only hope; it's a confirmation every time we gather together in the atmosphere of heaven that the Lord is indeed with us. It becomes a comfort which allows for the release of HIS kingdom upon this earth.

One of the things that people really have a hard time dealing with is death, but it’s the greatest gift because as believers we enter eternity. We all have a natural sorrow when someone close to us passes on. We've heard from many people tonight and really ever word has been powerful and full of honor for the lady we honour tonight.

That's what it's all about taking what we have and giving it to others, giving it out whatever we have, and when the scripture says it is no longer I that liveth but Christ, and walking in that realm releases the atmosphere of heaven. We are actually invaders here on assignment for the Lord Jesus Christ for a reason, and it isn't about our lives anyway, your life in the kingdom will always be challenged.

I want to share a little bit about some of the things that I feel the Lord has put on my heart for such a time as this. I came back from Bulgaria several weeks ago after three months there on a heavenly assignment.

All the peoples of the world need to know and walk in the realm of heavenly love through a relationship with the Lord Jesus. The people in every corner of the world can be redeemed through the release of supernatural love to be seen on God’s people. So tonight, I want to talk about perfecting love in our hearts and getting to the place where we truly unveil unconditional love.

I don't want to scare anybody or turn anyone off, but I'm not a big fan of boundaries. Jesus died for me a pure and simple truth . Where was the boundary in that? If you're into boundaries I know that this statement runs the risk of offending but that is not my intention. Every time I talk to the Lord, He says "Peter, walk in a realm of unconditional love remember. A love that our human minds cannot comprehend, agape love. Lord I need you and your love today more than I ever have.

There was a time I was in the midst of writing a book and a friend of the ministry had offered me their condo in Hawaii so I could spent some quiet time writing there. It was about 45 minutes west of Honolulu on the west coast of the island.

I like my hair fairly short so one day I was driving around looking for a barber shop and came across a unisex salon. So I go in there and I book an appointment for a time for haircut which happens to be fifteen minutes away. I start up a conversation with the individual who eventually cuts my hair. After about a minute into this, this gentleman starts to tell me about some very profound things that had happened in his life. That he was from Chicago and witnessed two murders while there and that was the real reason he moved to Hawaii so he himself would not be murdered.

I'm thinking I just met this person and he's telling me all these interesting details that could get him killed. In my opinion, this was not very smart. Long story short, so I have the opportunity to witness to him about the Lord Jesus Christ and who I was. I didn't lead him in the salvation prayer at that moment, but I left after thanking him.

As I was driving down the road, I felt the Holy Spirit just invade my car, and all of a sudden I was weeping buckets of tears. I'm a person who tries very hard not to be emotional, but the tears were flowing so much so that I had to pull over to the side because I couldn’t see clearly. I felt the Lord say, Peter, do you really care. Do you really care about the lives of others and where they will spend eternity.

Another time I was in Hanoi Vietnam and The Same Spirit of the Lord overcame me. I was walking down the street, and I was at this Bible College doing their graduation, and I'm walking down the street, in Hanoi. The congestion in the streets was extraordinarily crowded. It’s probably the same in the Philippines. You'll find 100,000 people in a block on the street headed in all directions. Everyone's riding a scooter, and the holy spirit says to me, “Peter, you're never going to see these people, perhaps never again in your life yet the majority (close to 100 percent)will spend eternity without me. Almost instantaneously I begin to weep uncontrollably again, right on the side of the road, right on the sidewalk, weeping uncontrollably. I hear the Lord say "Peter, do you really care as much as I care?" and the answer isn't very pleasant to look at.

"Well, Lord, I've got this going on; I've got that going on; I've got this over here; I've got that over there." "Lord, I'm not perfect." He has never asked us to be perfect but we must care as HE cares. There’s coming that day where the presence of the Lord will be so released on this earth and it won’t be without tribulation there will be great tribulation but through it all the grace that the Lord is so eager to release will be for this realm of love.

I don’t believe the Lord’s finished releasing the grace that we need as a church of believers. I don’t believe that we’re at the point where He wants us to be and as much as you try to put fruit on the vine, it can only be done by the spirit of the Lord; no, it's produced in what is in Him, not through what you are.

Are you the same as me? I'd like to say probably you are. I'm sorry, but God’s bringing us to new levels and new realms of His glory. We can’t sit here and think, Well, we have arrived. No, there's so much more that's in there. There is so much more in scripture that is secret to us, but it will be revealed. Why is it that we have so many accolades after a person dies but not so many when they're alive? Lord, without You Lord we're just dirt. Let your love go forward, Lord.

There’s so much that the Lord desires to do and be encouraged because He's chosen you and me even before the world was created. He chose you, and I, despite what you think about yourself. So many times when I'm doing counseling and think about how Christ sees you, not about how you see yourself. I look in the mirror and say, “Lord, what do you think about me? It's so clear what He thinks about you.

The scripture says that out of us will flow rivers of living water. There’s a saying out there that I don’t know how biblical it is, but the streets of heaven are paved with gold, and I always believe in my heart that the streets are paved with love because that’s the nature of the Lord and to think that He sent His son for us.

God never makes a mistake, not here, not now, not in the future, not in the past. The enemies are always trying to abort the plan of God in your life, always trying to abort the Son of God in your life, but “the weapons of our war are not carnal but mighty for pulling down strongholds." Every time there's an advance in the kingdom, the enemy is always coming in to destroy or disrupt it. Be encouraged when you're under attack, be encouraged when it doesn't go the way you want it to go or think it should go.

Be courageous, not defeated, but understand that we are foreigners in a hostile environment. Whether you're in ministry or not, we are here. Many newcomers are here, not so we become a happy, successful three-car garage owner but to serve the King. No, that’s not why we’re here. You can have those things, but that's not why you're here “Seek ye first the kingdom of God”.

We are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, so it's not just one; it's many multitudes. Let us then lay aside all those weights and all those snares. I lived in Sylvan lake and pastored in the church there for many many years. I lived in this neighborhood and we're on the side of a hill so when everybody came into the subdivision had to drive by my house. For years in the summer I would be out there cutting my grass waving at the many who would drive by my home. There was a family that lived two doors down from my home and two houses into an adjacent street.

For about 10 years I had been waving at people by now and then all of a sudden one day I don’t see this lady anymore. I don’t know if this is a positive or a negative thing. So somebody who lived down the block said one day “Oh you don’t know” and I said “No, I don’t know” and he said “The lady in that home committed suicide and her kids were home”. Before that that discussion I had been celebrating a very successful conference that we had just finished. Again the voice of the Lord says, “Peter, do you really care." Do we really truly care? That is the question for our hearts today: DO WE CARE LIKE CHRIST’S CARES?

And I want to declare today over each and everyone, Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, and that we, by the spirit, say, It is no longer I that liveth but Christ that lives in me. Will you put aside every distraction of life—the good, the bad, the ugly, the successes, the failures—and like many, serve our risen saviour only by the spirit. That we really truly care by the Spirit. Again I declare “thy Kingdom Come thy will be done” and that we by the spirit say “it is no longer I that liveth but Christ that lives in me.”

Will you put aside every distraction of life the good, the bad, the ugly, the successes, the failures that we would put them all aside and like many serve our risen saviour only by the spirit. That we cannot do any of this Lord naturally so we asked for a greater release of Your grace, Your mercy.

I like to inquire with the Lord and in 2014 the Lord said “Peter you're going to have to walk not only preaching about love but exemplifying love” like Paul the Lord says “My grace is sufficient for you” There's going to be people you need to love and you can't naturally and he said this to me “the attributes and the fruit of the holy spirit is so different than the gifts”. We all know that we're all season believers here we all know what the fruit of the spirit is and I felt the Lord say “Peter, there's not going to be one person that overshoots heaven because they had too much love” That hit me not one person. Scripture says “Love Never Fails” and the attributes of the Holy Spirit demonstrate the literal character of Christ. The Bible clearly states that there is no law against the fruit. In other words there is no penalty in walking in the fruit of heaven in your life. You can love beyond measure without any negative effects.

Will your love be abused? Was Christ's love abused? If you're in an abusive situation, don't stay there. I don't believe that's God. You can be 100% right, but your attitude is 100% wrong. The spirit of the Lord is in this place, but the spirit of the Lord is also challenging each of us to go higher, and sometimes it hurts and sometimes people will take advantage of those things. I don't ask anyone ever to be in an abusive situation that is ungodly and not God; you do not need to tolerate it in Jesus' name but walking in the fruit of the Spirit must be one of our overwhelming objectives in Christ. Much love.
